He had been ill for five weeks, suffering from a heart ailment. Mr. Gaskins was born in Berrien County and had made this home all his life. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fisher Gaskins. His church affiliation was with the Primitive Baptist Church, and membership at Riverside Church. Funeral services were held at Riverside Church Monday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. Rev. J.O. Lott and Rev. Jake Vickers were jointly in charge of the services. Mr. Gaskins has only one child, a son, who survives him. Arrangements were made by the Giddens Funeral Home of Nashville.
