  She was born December 21, 1948, in Hahira to Edwin Gaskins of Alapaha and the 
late Marguerite Johnson Gaskins. She was a sales associate withe Home Depot, 
employed for many years was an assembly person with General Motors at the 
Dorabille Plant until its closure, and a member of Alapaha United Methodist 
Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gaskins.
 In addition to her father, survivors include two sisters, Dona (Julian) Fields 
and Marshal Cola,  both of Alapaha; several nieces and nephews.
 A graveside funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 22, at 4 p.m. at 
Fetcher Cemetery in Alapaha with the Rev. Larry Hauser officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
