NASHVILLE--Ethelee Gates, 78, of Route 3, died Tuesday in the South Georgia 
Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Berrien County and had 
lived in Jacksonville, FL most of her life returning to Nashville in 1976. She 
was a retired real estate broker and was the first female president of the 
Jacksonville Board of Realtors. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant 
Missionary Baptist Church.
 Survivors are her husband, F. C. Gates, Nashville, one daughter, Winona Reed, 
Jacksonville, FL; one son, David Gates, Nashville; one sister, Edith Connell, 
Nashville; one brother, the Rev. Roberson Gaskins, Nashville; four 
grandchildren.
 Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Gaskins 
Family Cemetery with the Rev. John Hendley officiating. Lovein Funeral Home is 
in charge of arrangements
