Born Jan. 24, 1919 in Berrien County to the late Henry W. Giddens and Belle Moore Giddens, he was a retired farmer and member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dalpha Flanders Giddens of West Berrien, one daughter, Dean Williams of Nashville; one son, Julian Giddens of West Berrien; two sisters, Thelma Luke of Alapaha and Lois Bush of Starke, FL; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 17 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Connell and Olem Bennett officiating. The Pafford Family sang "When I've Traveled The Last Mile," "What Will I Leave Behind?:" and "Because He Lives." The congregation sang "Amazing Grace." Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
