Born Oct. 6, 1941 in Berrien County, he was the son of the late Silas and Lula Grimes Giddens. He was an auto mechanic by trade. Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Hartpence of Naylor, Cheryl Alexander of Lakeland, Jennifer Bell of Bradenton, FL; three sons, Steven Giddens of Sturgis, Ml, Scott Giddens of Middlebury, In, Chris Bell of Bradenton; one sister, Melba Barker of Valdosta; one brother, Billy Jack Giddens of Nashville, nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 3 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Don Simmons officiating. Musical selections included "Go Rest High on That Mountain." Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Giddens, Donnie Giddens, Randy Barber, Bill Hartpence, Rick McBride, Raymond Grimes. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
