 Dalpha Giddens, 93, of the West Berrien Community died October 11, 2011, at Be
Berrien County Hospital.
 Born September 11, 1918, in Berrien County to the late James W. and Mary E
Elizabeth Hutchinson Flanders, she was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill M
Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Edgar Lawson Giddens who died F
February 15, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Giddens who d
died in 1998.
 Survivors include her daughter, Dean Williams (Donald) Giddens of Nashville; 
son, Julian (Jacquelyn) Giddens of West Berrien; sisters, Ella Mae Nugent of 
Alapaha and Elizabeth Akins of Brunswick; brothers, Lewis Flanders of 
Nashville, Jordan Flanders and Charlie Flanders both of Alapaha; daughter-in-law,
Kathryn Giddens of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Weymon, Marlon, Ed, Bruce, Glenn
Giddens, Keven Wiilliams, Virginia Meadows; 11 great
law, Kathryn Giddens of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Weymon, Marlon, Ed, Bruce, 
Glenn Giddens, Keven Wiilliams, Virginia Meadows; 11 great-grandchildren, three 
great-great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held October 15 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Bap
Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. The Paffords san
sang "Amazing Grace" and "I Want Us To Be Together in Heaven," accompanied by Lin
Linda hall, pianist.
 Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
 Grandsons served as pallbearers.
 Her granddaughter and great-granddaughters served as honorary pallbearers.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
