 Mamie Giddens, 79, of Nashville died May 6, 2011, at Berrien Nursing Center.
 Born Dec. 26, 1931, in Berrien County to the late Julian and Thelma Howard 
Connell, she was a homemaker and member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was 
married to Leland Giddens who died in 1976 and was also preceded in death by a 
son-in-law, Raymond Grimes, who died in 2009.
 Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Pat and Robert Gaskins of 
Alapaha and Brenda Grimes of Nashville; sister, Catherine Rowe of Lake City, 
FL; brothers, William Connell of Cairo and Olan Connell of Lake City; four 
grandchildren, Amanda Morris, Lisa McMillan, Christy Grimes, and Vinson 
Gaskins; six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Zach, Grace, Seth, Robbin and Dannie.
 Funeral services were held May 8, at 4 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church with t
the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Jackie Connell officiating. Amanda Morris recorded f
flute music on a CD which featured "It is Finished" and "Beulah Land." Debbie L
Lee sang "Hen of His Garment."
 Pallbearers were Jo Allen Kent, Jonathan Exum, Carlo Pellacio, Rusty Partin, 
James Rutherford, Donald Harnage.
 Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Flat Creek Baptist Church.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
