Born April 5, 1940, in Berrien County to the late Edgar Lawson and Dalpha F Flanders Giddens, he was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a member and deacon a at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a b brother, Robert Giddens. He is survived by his wife, Jacquline Liseby Giddens of West Berrien; three sons, Wayman (Vickey) Giddens and Ed (Amanda) Giddens, all of West Berrien, Marlon (Debbie) Giddens of Chaserville; sister, Dean Giddens of Nashville; sister-in-law, Kathryn Giddens of Tifton; five grandchildren, Brandon, Tara, Brittney, Caitlin and Madelyn; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Zoey and Grayso Grayson. Funeral services were held March 21 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Bapti Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Connell and Raymond Lisenby officiating. Brand Brandon Giddens sang "Love Without End" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain," accom accompanying himself on the guitar. Susan Flanders sang "Come Home," and Pleas Pleasant Hill Church choir sang "Because He Lives," accompanied by Faye Conne Connell, pianist. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Brandon Giddens, Bruce Giddens, Glen Giddens, Dewayne Lis Lisenby, Kevin Williams, Darrell Brasewell, Mickey Lee. Honorary pallbearers were Doug Alley, Dale Hancock, Ed Bryant, P.H. Danforth, Ch Charles Lee, Jordan Flanders, Jeston Connell, Jimmy Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, To Tommy Flanders, Ronald Bennett, Tommie Vickers, Danny Dorminey.
