Jean Studstill Giddens, 81, of Ray City died April 1. 2014, at her resident 
after a brief illness.
 She was born May 27, 1932, to the late Thomas Julian “Boots” and Maudell Vaughn 
Studstill in Berrien County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in 
death by her husband, Jack Giddens, and two brothers, Frank Studstill and Tom 
Studstill.
 She was a homemaker and enjoyed fellowship with her many friends.
 Survivors include two daughters, Julia Yow of Four Oaks, NC and Suzanne Chance 
of Greenville, SC; a son, David Giddens of Ray City.
 In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated. A graveside service was held 
April 4 at 2 p.m. at Beaver Dam Cemetery.
