 Dorothy Chisholm Gilbert, 87, of Nashville, died Oct. 4, 2005, in Palm Desert, 
Calif. 

 She was born on Feb. 18, 1918, to Eugene Chisholm and Louelle (Parrish) 
Chisholm in Ray City. She retired in 1980 after 40 years of teaching in the 
Atlanta School System. She was a graduate of Mercer University in Macon and 
Atlanta Law School. 

 She is survived by her nieces, Dorothy Mulholland of Palm Desert, Calif., and 
Carol Currier of Lexington, N.C.; great-niece, Tara Griffith of Atlanta; great-
nephews, Joey Currier of Lexington, N.C., and Richard Currier of Greensboro, 
N.C. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eugenia Bushmiaer (2004). 

 Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, in 
Pleasant Cemetery, Nashville. 

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel will be in charge of arrangements. 
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at Boone-Lipsey 
Funeral Home in Adel.
