  Laura Sumner Golden,99, of Nashville, Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Berrien Nursing 
Center.
 She was born March 8, 1916, in Tifton to the late Henry Leon and Alice Eliza 
Sandefur Sumner. She was a homemaker and attended Nashville mission. She was the 
widow of Wiley Golden who died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by a son-
in-law, James Tyson, four sisters and two brothers.
 She is survived by her daughter, Mattie Geneva Tyson of Nashville; son, Curtis 
Leroy (Marie) Golden of Albany; one brother, Albert Sumner of Tifton; sister-in-
law, Juanita Golden; six grandsons, Paul (Cassandra) Golden, Huey (Janice) 
Golden, Travis (Stacy)Golden, Gary Golden, Greg (Patricia)Tyson and Jerry Tyson; 
13 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, four step-great-great-
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 13 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of 
Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R. T. Castleberry officiating.
 Interment was in Oakey Grove Cemetery.
