Born June 4, 1933 in McMinn, TN to the late Oscar Bass and Daisey Oteila Bowen Sneed, she and her husband operated Nashville Seafood for many years. She also owned a produce stand in Nashville and worked with JR&C Auctions. Survivors include her husband, J.B. Goodman of Nashville; seven daughters, Janie Brooks, Anita Brady and Pauline Howell, all of Nashville, June Cooper of Dublin, Peggy Goodman of Fitzgerald, Nancy Flippo of Poulin, Dianne Sirmans of Valdosta; two sons, J.L. Goodman of Ocilla and David Benton of Hawkinsville; sister, Stell Red of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, C.B. Cornett of Macon and Eddie Cornett of Arizona; 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 18 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Jim Williams officiating. Shawn Benefield sang "Amazing Grace" and "Beulah Land," and Amber Daniel sang "Come As You Are." Interment was in Hickory Springs Cemetery in Chula. Pallbearers were Rocky Stone, Steve Adams, Tim Roberts, Tracy Connell, Travis Connell, Vinson Browning. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
