Born April 15, 1942, in Tift County to the late Archie and Stella Mae M McMillan Gray, he was a retired log hauler and member of Nashville First P Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Larry Tabor of Nashville, Lessia and Robert Freeman of Madison, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Leisha Gray of Nashville; sister, Josephine Rudeseal of Clarksville; four brothers, John M. Gray of Sparks, Jake Gray of Douglas, Walter Gray of Townsend, TN, James Richard Gray of Lakeland. He is preceded in death by a sister, Annis Jean Giddens and a brother, William Herman "Short" Gray. Funeral services were held August 28 in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Linda Whitley, Allen Whitley and Chris Casselman officiating. Musical s selections included "Heaven Was Needing a Hero," "Grandpa, Tell Me About the G Good Ole Days," "Temporary Home," and "Down to the River to Pray." Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Rudeseal, James Harold Rudeseal, Jr., Malcom Stone, Reavis Reavis Griffis, Butch Auchtung, Roger Lee Tabor, Robert Wesley Rowe, William A Archie Gray, William Herman Gray.
