  Albert Tegler Greer, 81, of Cairo, died December 24, 2011 at Grady General H
Hospital in Cairo.
 Born December 3, 1930 in Baxley to the late Jackson Killian and Julia Wilkins 
Willis Greer, he married Billie Jo Greer on April 22, 1955. They have 
celebrated 56 years of marriage. He served his country in the National Guard. 
He belonged to various civic clubs as he moved to different ministerial 
appointment locations in the South Georgia United Methodist Church Conference. 
At the First United Methodist Church of Cairo, he was a member of the 
Fellowship Sunday School Class, the Choir, and a beloved member of the church. 
His hobbies included golfing and fishing. Reverend Greer loved to fill-in as a pa
pastor wherever he was needed. With a twinkle in his eye, he loved to tell jo
jokes and tales as he passed your way.
 Reverend Geer was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack Greer, C
Cullen Greer, Harold Greer, Wallace Greer, sisters, Mary Wilcox, Myrtis G
Garrett, Inez Boswell, Jean McLemore.
 Survivors include his wife, Billie Jo Greer of Cairo; daughter and sons-in-law, Ivy
and Mark Zimmerman of Jackson, SC, Joanne and David Christopher of Trenton, SC; sons
and daughters
law, Ivy and Mark Zimmerman of Jackson, SC, Joanne and David Christopher of 
Trenton, SC; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Debra Greer of Perry, Brad 
and Katrina Greer of Memphis, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Nancy and Jay 
Goudelock of Memphis, TN, Daniel Greer of Perry, Crystal Greer of McRae, Kelly 
Greer of Perry, Brittney Zimmerman of Jackson, SC, Bryce Zimmerman of Jackson, 
SC, Mary Money of Bartlett, TN, Robin Greer of Bartlett, TN; great grandson, 
Landon Gentry of McRae; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Lyman Brewer of 
Fitzgerald; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Winifred Greer of Cochran, Peggy
Greer o
Greer of Dublin, Sue and John Carden of Melbourne, FL.
 Funeral services were held on Dec. 28 at First United Methodist Church of Cario 
Cario of Cairo with Rev. Rick Turner officiating.
 Interment was Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cairo.
 Active pallbearers were Billy Hester, Bert Wind, Tommie Smith, Pat Wind, Alan Youn
Young, Edgar Smith.
 Honorary pallbearers were members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and XYZ
XYZ members.
 Clark Funeral Home of Cairo was in charge of arrangements.
