Born October 20, 1944 in Berrien County to the late Roy E. and Ida Lee Grimes Griffin, he was a retired machine maintenance foreman with Nashville Mills. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member and past commander of Nashville Post VFW. Survivors include his children's mother, Linda Griffin of Nashville; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Joyce and Ronald Stone of Nashville; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Wayne and Lucretia Griffin of Roanoke, VA; two sisters, Sylvia (Charles Miner of Powell, TN and Wilma (Johnny) Hall of Nashville; one brother, Windell (Liza) Griffin of Nashville; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Joyce, Keri Gail, Brandon Michael, Dakota Cheyenne, Austin Hunter and Mikelia Carolyn. Funeral services were held September 2 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Marshton Tucker and Chad Hall officiating. Bobby and Crissy Pearson sang "Precious Memories" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
