T. "Doc" Griffin, 75, of Nashville died August 31, 2007 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. Born January 1, 1932 in Brooks County to the late Turner and Mattie Lucille Selph Griffin, he was a retired farmer, truck driver, and for many years owned and operated The Log Cabin. He was an Army veteran, having served in Korea and a past commander for Nashville Post VFW. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Luke Griffin of Nashville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tate and Angie Griffin of Nashville and Todd and Laura Griffin of Moultrie; four grandchildren, Peyton, Riley, Kaliey and Ryder; three brothers, Capers Griffin of Milner, Steve Griffin of Bemiss, Herman Griffin of Jesup. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hanks. Funeral services were held September 3 at 2 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Mark Swain officiating. New Tradition provided selected music. Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Stan Stalnaker, Anthony Booth, Darian Murray, Hugh Adams, Bart Fountain, Eddie Holbrook. Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Joiner, Junior Luke, R. M. Luke, Jimmy Fulp, Max Murphy, Carlton Brady, Mike Flowers, Windol Pittman. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
