Born September 23, 1921 in Berrien to the late Empie Williford (E.W.) and Polly Rowe Tatum, she was a retired nurse and member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was married to the late Roy E. Tyson. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Robin Tyson of Eatonton; one daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Doug Kindseth of Rosemount, Minnesota; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 10 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home with the Revs. Eddie Allen, Earl Buckholtz and Ike Jefferson officiating. Betty and Jack Joiner sang "Amazing Grace," "If We Never Meet Again" and "Come Spring." Interment was in Rowetown Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Hulley, Carl Kindseth, Jay Evans, Scott Barton, Benny Tatum, James Tyson. Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
