Born Dec. 29, 1922, in Irwin County to the late E.G. and Annie Whitaker Wright, she was a homemaker and retired from Nashville Textile and Nashville Mills. She was a member of Alapaha Church of God and was married to the late Acie "Buck" Griffin who died in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Gene (Dorothy) Griffin and Earl Griffin, all of Nashville; two daughters, Diane Miley and Joyce (Harvey) Ritchea, all of Nashville; two brothers, D.W. Wright of Moultrie and Bill Keagans of Florida; two sisters, Mary Lou Hutchinson and Ellen Jones both of Ellenton; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, two step-grandchildren and one great- grandson. Funeral services were held April 10 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter officiating. The Mills Family sang "The Lights of Home," "Amazing Grace" and "So Glad He Found Me." Becky Warren sang "I'm A Winner Either Way," and Paula Luke sang "Robe of White." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Elder, Mitch Miley, Jimmy Dampier, Raymond Dampier, Stacey Griffin, Chris Griffin, Mikie Griffin. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
