Born March 4, 1940 in Berrien County to the late Phillip and Edna Brantley Burkhalter, she was a homemaker and records clerk/dispatcher with the Nashville Police Department. She was a member of Nashville Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Donald Griffin of Nashville; two brothers, Harold Burkhalter of Ray City and Lamar Burkhalter of Lake Park. Funeral services were held October 22 at 4 p.m. at Nashville Church of God with Ian Burgin and Tony Black officiating. The congregation sang "Heaven Holds All," "Rock of Ages," and "Where Could I Go But to the Lord." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jeston Connell, Marvin Barker, James Lindsey, David Register, Edgar McKeever, John Clayton. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Bair, Tim King, Steve Miler, Allen Spikes, Patrick Skaggs, Ronald Knowles, James Watson, Timmy Jernigan, Robert Guthrie, Jesse Folsom, Milton Sizemore, Brandi Bennett, Sandy McLendon.
