 Owen L. Griffin, 74, of Bartow died October 18, 2006 at Good Shepherd Hospice 
in Auburndale.
 Born September 23, 1932 in Berrien County, he was a 20 year veteran, serving 
two tours in Germany, Japan, Korea and Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith. .
  Survivors include his wife, Ingrid Griffin; five children, Cindy (Jim) 
Roberts, Nicky (Samantha) Griffin, Mary (Brent) Booher, Nancy (Dan) Champagne, 
Gene (Gina) Griffin; sister, Genevieve (J.B.) Guthrie; nine grandchildren.
 A memorial service was held October 28, at 11 a.m. at St. John's United 
Methodist Church in Winter Haven, Florida. His body was donated to medical 
science.
