She was born Jan. 7, 1944, in Coffee County to the late Cyrus Holman and the late Lessie Mae Thomas Holman. She was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by two sons, Chris Porter and Dennis Porter, and a daughter, Ginger Porter Moore. She is survived by her husband, Earl Griffin of Nashville; a son, Mike (Crystal) Porter of Nashville; a stepdaughter, Missy Dell of Moultrie; a stepson, Mikie (Christy) Griffin of Moultrie; four sisters, Shirley Anderson of Douglas, Kathy (David) Worth of West Green, Faye Raper of Douglas and Vonice (Dillie) Winters of Broxton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter and the Rev. Johnny Smith. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation is this evening from 7-9 p.m. - Active pallbearers were Tony Porter, Mark Porter, David Garner, Stacy Griffin, Raymond Dampier, Jimmy Dampier. Honorary pallbearers were Alexis Vincent, Dr. Spells, Dr. McDowell, Ricky Franklin, Dr. Farquhar. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
