Griffin Was Buried Sunday Nashville, Ga., May 25. – Dr. O.B. Griffin’s whose death occurred shortly after he was struck by a fast passenger train on the Atlantic Coast Line at Alapaha, Saturday morning, was buried Sunday afternoon at Spring Hill Church, near his home. He died in the office of Dr. W.A. Moore, where he was carried after the accident, without regaining consciousness. Dr. Griffin was preparing to go to Savannah and being on the opposite side of the tracks to which the doors of train vestibule are opened, attempted to cross the track when he was struck by the cross beam on front of the engine and knocked senseless, his side, arm and hip being mangled by the blow. Dr. Griffin was 62 years old and a successful farmer. He leaves a large family of children, two brothers, and two sisters. His brothers are Mr. Sam Griffin of Macon and Mannie Griffin of Alapaha.
