VALDOSTA - Geraldine Griner, 83, of Nashville, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 
2010, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Berrien County to the late Virgil Hollis and 
Maggie Golden Mathis Parr. She was a secretary for 35 years with the USDA and 
ASCS offices; Charter member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Berrien County Post 
5978; and member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. She was the widow of 
Ronald Griner, who died in 2003.
She is survived by her sister, Inell Cornelius of Nashville; and two brothers, 
J.W. Parr of Alapaha and Noah “Red” Parr of Valdosta.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010, in the chapel 
of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will be in Nashville Memorial Gardens. 
Visitation will be held Thursday morning, one hour prior to the service. -
