Dorothy Mildred Griner 
NASHVILLE — Dorothy Mildred Griner, 78, of Nashville, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 
2005, at Lakehaven Nursing Home. 
Born Nov. 29, 1926, in Berrien County, she was the daughter of the late Coy 
Hancock and Rosa Baldree. She was a homemaker, retired teacher's aide, 
assistant librarian at Berrien County High School, charter member and former 
clerk of Flat Creek Baptist Church and active in T.O.P.S. 
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Denis Gunther of 
North Augusta, S.C., and Sue and Duane Sistrunk of Valdosta; one son and 
daughter-in-law, Jamie and Deborah Griner of Tifton; eight grandchildren, 
Tracey Gunther, Valerie (Stephen) Tackney, Kerry (David) Carver, David (Sonya) 
Gunther, Yvonne (Patrick) Kelly, Nancy (David) Buck, Brandy (Buck) Crumley and 
Casey Sistrunk; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Tallie Hancock of 
West Berrien and Mallie Hancock of Nashville. 
She was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Wilson, and was the widow of 
Carlton Eugene Griner, who died Sept. 10, 2003. 
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Flat Creek Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and the Rev. Gary James officiating. 
Burial will follow in Flat Creek Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tonight. Flowers will be 
accepted or memorials may be made to United Hospice, 101 Northside Drive, 
Valdosta, Ga., 31602. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
