NASHVILLE -- Nelle Griner, 84, of Nashville died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at 
her residence.
 She was born April 19, 1919 in Baldwin County to the late Charles Nixon 
Veatch and Glenna Corene Lewis. She was a homemaker, a member of Nashville 
First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pompey James 
Griner, who died in 1994, and a daughter, Debbie Griner, who died in 1972.
 She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Jacoberger, Orange Park, FL; one son, 
Pete Griner, Jr., Fripp Island, SC; three sisters, Dot Judd, Albermarle, NC, 
Coe Sorrier, Statesboro, Mildred Wisenbaker, Valdosta; one brother, Charles 
Veatch, Albemarle; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
 Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004, at 
Westview Cemetery. The Rev. Billy Southerland officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
