She was born on May 13, 1913, in Berrien County to Joe and Sarah Jane Spells Harrell. She was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member for many years of the New Lois Home Demonstration Club. She was the widow of Franklin Pierce "F.P." Griner who died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Floy Allen and Pearlie Kruger. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Fay and Joyce Griner, Nashville; two grandchildren, Dr. Brian Griner, Valdosta, Catherine Griner, Nashville; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Louise Griner of Valdosta; and one sister, Beulah Back of Ray City. Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Junior Swain officiating. Rev. Ron Smith sang "Amazing Grace." Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Steve Osborne, Ben Warren, Ricky Boyd, Phillip Akins, Brion Akins, Dr. Donnie Nash.
