   Velma Griner, 81, of Nashville died March 6, 2012, at Berrien
 Nursing Center.
 Born Feb. 1, 1931, in Berrien County to the late Leonard
 William and Ruth Griffin Griner, she was a homemaker, former
 sales clerk with Berrien Drugs, and was also retired from
 Nashville Mills. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary
 Baptist Church. She was the widow of Harvey Edward Griner
 and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Ray, a
 granddaughter, Tracy Polino, and a brother, Elmon Griner.
 Survivors include her grandson, Roy “Mark” Ray, III, of
 Nashville, two great-grandsons, Justin Brown and Logan Polino,
 both of Nashville; brother, Hilton Griner of Nashville; sister in-
 law, Vernell Griner of Alapaha.
 A graveside service was held March 8 at 3 p.m. at Rowetown
 Cemetery with the Revs. Jackie Connell and Johnny Smith                     offi
officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
