Born Feb. 1, 1931, in Berrien County to the late Leonard William and Ruth Griffin Griner, she was a homemaker, former sales clerk with Berrien Drugs, and was also retired from Nashville Mills. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Harvey Edward Griner and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Ray, a granddaughter, Tracy Polino, and a brother, Elmon Griner. Survivors include her grandson, Roy “Mark” Ray, III, of Nashville, two great-grandsons, Justin Brown and Logan Polino, both of Nashville; brother, Hilton Griner of Nashville; sister in- law, Vernell Griner of Alapaha. A graveside service was held March 8 at 3 p.m. at Rowetown Cemetery with the Revs. Jackie Connell and Johnny Smith offi officiating. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
