Ray and the late Arzilla Nix Ray. She was a homemaker and a retired secretary for Nashville Variety Works. She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William V. Guthrie of Nashville; a daughter, Barbara (Lamar) Roberts of Nashville; a son, Wiliam E. "Billy" (Deanna) Guthrie of Alamo, Ca.; four grandchildren, Michael Guthrie, Kathleen Guthrie, Bruce Roberts and Terri Roberts Cooper; nine great-grandchildren; a special sister, Kate Hughes.She is preceded in death by a brother and sister- in-law, Artemus and Zettie Lee Ray; and two special sisters, Cleo Griner and Ruby Watson. Services will be held Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Jackson Moore officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday morning one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers included Bruce Roberts, Chris Cooper, Rodger Swann, Donnie Brogdon, Russell Nix, Raymond Shaw.
