 Roy Robert Guthrie, Jr.., 68, of Jacksonville, FL. died September 5, 2005 at 
Shands University Hospital in Jacksonville.

 Born April 28, 1937 in Berrien County to Ruby Ellen Rowan Guthrie of Nashville 
and the late Roy Robert Guthrie, Sr., he was a retired machinist with 
Jacksonville Shipyards. He was a member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church and a 
veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Eula Jean Mullis 
Guthrie of Jacksonville (Marietta), FL; daughter, Ruby Jean knight of 
Jacksonville (Marietta); sister, Martha Chambers of Nashville; three brothers, 
Phillip Guthrie of Nashville, Harry Guthrie of Jacksonville (Marietta), Stephen 
Guthrie of Middleburg, FL; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

 A graveside service was held September 8 at 4 p.m. at Guthrie Cemetery with 
Rev. Larry McGinley officiating. Gary Griffis sang "Amazing Grace."

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
