Born December 6, 1935 in Berrien County to the late James Lonnie and Mitteylene Phillips Lewis, she was a homemaker and retired medical technologist. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Daveport, FL. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Foster (Tommy) Hancock, Jr. of Nashville; one daughter, Robin Sutton of Nashville; one son, Tom Hancock of Nashville; one sister, Pauline Beasley of Nashville; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Lewis Hancock and a sister, Bonnie Nix. Funeral services were held July 8 at 2:30 p.m. at Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Pickern and Alvin Lewis officiating. Musical selections included "When I Get Where I'm Going" and "Amazing Grace." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
