The Berrien Press -- Ernest E. "Gene" Hancock, Jr., 70, of Adel died February 
11, 2006 at Patten Place Retirement Home.
 Born October 25, 1935 in Berrien County to the late Fannie Lee Harrell and 
Ernest Eugene Hancock, Sr., he was retired from the U.S. Army, serving two 
tours in Vietnam.
 Survivors include one son, Darryl Gene Hancock of Hahira; one brother, 
Woodrow Hancock of Adel; one sister, Frances Spillers of Tifton; two 
grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held February 11 in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey Funeral 
Home with Rev. John Hendley officiating.
 Interment was in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
