Born May 3, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Eldie and Bennie Lee Warren Kelly, she was a homemaker and widow of Ira Lee Hand. She was a longtime member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher for the children's class for 11 years and the young adult class for four years. She had perfect attendance in Sunday School for 38 years. She served as secretary-treasurer for Berrien County Search and Rescue and c chaired their Clothes Closet for 36 years. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Beth Hand of Nashville; sons and one daughter-in in-law, Dale Hand and Gary and Bonnie Hand, all of Nashville; two sisters, Marjorie Lee Russell of Arkansas and Elfrida Wolitz of Nashville; two grandchildren, Sonya (Mike) Thomason and Donna (Chris) Brady; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Alley, Wyatt, Rhett, Tara, grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Alley, Wyatt, Rhett, Tara, Olivalee; special frien friend of the family, George Lantis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ben E Ben Ed Kelly. Funeral services were held June 27 at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Missionary Bapt Baptist Church with the Revs. J.W. Dukes, III, Mark Swain, Mickey Lindsey and Juni Junior Swain officiating. The church choir sang "I Want Us to Be Together in Heav Heaven," Greg Shoupe sang "Go Rest High on That Mountain," and Joyce Warren sang sang "Angels Around Us." Carolyn Jean Kirkland served as pianist. Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Donald Cornelius, Danny Lee, Steve Register, Curtis Sh Shealey, Jimmy Lane, Brad Kirkland, Michael Warren, Earl Browning. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Poplar Spring Church, members of Berrien C County Search and Rescue, Earl Smith and those she taught in Sunday School.
