The Berrien Press -- Sarah Eloise Mathis Hargraves, 76, of Jacksonville, FL 
died Oct. 5, 2008 at Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville.
 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral 
Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Croft officiating. Interment was in Wesley Chapel 
Cemetery.
 Born January 14, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Talley Columbus and Maude 
Ella Devane Mathis, she was a homemaker raising six children. She was of the 
Baptist faith.
 Survivors include four sons, Ronald Lewis of Jacksonville, FL, Buddy Lewis 
and wife, Karen, Tom Lewis and Russell Lewis, all of California; two 
daughters, Marie Sellers and husband, Cecil, of Jacksonville and Sarah Hancock 
and husband, Jamie, of Jasper, FL; three brothers, Elwood Mathis of Orlando, 
FL, and Julian Mathis of Miami Springs, FL, Earl Mathis of Jacksonville; two 
sisters, Margie Croft and Emily Sue Smith, both of Moultrie, ten grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild; a special friend, Josephine Ritcher.
 Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home of Moultrie was in charge of arrangements.
