Born January 7, 1928 in Cook County to the late James Chester and Lizzie Touchton Harnage, he was a retired production manager for Berrien Products Co. and later owned and operated Harnage Electric Co. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Melba Griner Harnage of Nashville; one son, David Harnage of Hunt Valley, MD; two grandsons, two great-granddaughters. Funeral services were held December 21 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. Music included "Go Rest High On That Mountain." Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Ricky Griner, Philmore Miley, Ryan Harnage, Nick Harnage, Terry Selph, Donnie Selph. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
