 Vernon "“Buck"” Harnage, Jr., 65, of Nashville, died Sunday, Oct. 16,
2005, at 
South Georgia Medical Center. 

 He was born on Nov. 28, 1939, in Berrien County to the late Vernon and Mizzie 
Harper Harnage. He was a farmer and member of Knight’s Memorial Baptist Church.


He is survived by his wife, Doris Duvall Harnage of Nashville; five sons and 
daughters-in-law, Joseph David and Jennifer Harnage, Lenox, James Jonathan and 
Reita Harnage, McDonough, Timothy Andrew and Carol Harnage, Stephen Mark and 
Telisa Harnage, and Matthew Samuel and Amy Harnage, all of Nashville; one 
sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Leroy Golden of Albany; 12 grandchildren; 
two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Wade Harnage of Nashville. He 
was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Leanne Harnage. 

 Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, in the 
Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Conger and the Rev. Junior 
Swain officiating. Burial will be held in Flat Creek Cemetery.

 Active pallbearers were Paul Golden, Huey Golden, Duane Duvall, Gary Golden, 
Russell Bunting, Stan Maluda, Michael Maluda, David Maluda.

 Honorary pallbearers were J.A. Rowan, Jr., Marvin McCorvey, Prentice 
Bracewell, Wayne Sutton, Sherwood King, Doug Harper, Leroy Harper, James Tyson.

 Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends 
from 7-9 p.m. — 

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
