WEST BERRIEN COMMUNITY - Mack Edward Harper, 70, of the West Berrien Community 
died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at his residence. Born in Berrien County on Sept. 
18, 1931, to the late John E. Harper and Flora Belle McMillan, Mr. Harper was 
a retired farmer and member of Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He is 
survived by his wife, Geneva Browning Harper of the West Berrien Community; 
one daughter, Elaine Wood of Lexington, S.C.; two sons, Darrell and Susan 
Harper and Chris and Theresa Harper, all of the West Berrien Community; 10 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four 
sisters, Ellendor Harper, Yvonne Harper, Johnnie Fife, and Elma Barber; and by 
a grandson, John David Wood, who died in 1995. Funeral services are scheduled 
for Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with 
Elder Charles Tyson and the Rev. Ken Potts officiating. Burial will follow in 
Oakey Grove Cemetery. Visitation is today after 2 p.m. with the family 
receiving friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville. is 
in charge of all arrangements
