Born Dec. 1, 1931 in Berrien Co. he was the son of Charlie Harper and Alice Whitley. He was a retired S/Sgt with the US Air Force after 22 years of service. Mr. Harper was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Sally Brogdon Harper, Nashville; a daughter, Donna King, Nashville; four sons, Dale Harper, Nashville, Carl Harper, Thomasville, Mike Harper, Nashville and Billy Harper, Nashville; two sisters, Jean Rowe, Crescent Beach, FL; Floried Hogan, Nashville; three brothers, Vinson Harper, Pace, Fl, Leroy Harper, Nashville and Marshall Harper, Nashville; and 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Talmadge Guess and the Rev. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment is at Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Doug Harper, Terry Harper, Larry Hogan, Josh Harper, Greg Clanton, Ty Harper. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
