Born May 15, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Charlie and Alice Whitley Harper, he was a retired furniture and appliance salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Milton, FL and was married to the late Marjorie Hendley Harper. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Hal and Kathy Harper and Hugh Harper of Tequesta, FL; two sisters, Floried Hogan of Nashville and Jean Rowe of Crescent Beach, FL; brothers, Leroy Harper and Marshall Harper, both of Nashville; two grandchildren, Jordan Harper and Hannah Harper. Funeral services were held July 28 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Scott King officiating. New Tradition provided music. Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Mike Harper, Marlon McClellan, Buddy Hogan, Larry Hogan, Jordan Harper, Terry Harper. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
