Born October 1, 1956 in Irwin County to the late Jesse and Wilma Gunter H Harper, he was a mechanic. He was also preceded in death by a son, Chris Mathis a and a brother, Ben Harper. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Lynn Johnson Harper of Ray City; daughter, Regina Russell of Galaz, VA; step-son, Stanley Mintz of Nashville; four sisters, Mary Alice (Elbert) Starling of Nashville, Dorothy McClellan of Ray City, Ouida Ann (Wayne) Chaney of Alapaha and Emma Jean Eldridge of Sparks; three brothers, Johnny Harper, Jesse W. Harper, and Vinson (Donna) Harper, all of Nashville; six grandchildren, Brookelyn, Landon, Emily, Bresdon, Freddie and Suade Suade. Funeral services were held July 27 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Ho Home with Tommy Spikes officiating. Interment followed in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
