NASHVILLE -- Roy L. Harrell, 68, Ray City Highway, died Monday in the Berrien 
County Hospital after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of Berrien 
County and a retired sales agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Co. He 
was a member of Ray City United Methodist Church, a mason and member of 
Keystone Kops Shrine Unit. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and member and past 
commander of the Nashville VFW.
 He is survived by his widow, Edna Ray Harrell; one son, Donald Harrell, 
Douglas; one sister, Mary Connell, Tifton; four brothers, Troy Harrell, Wilbur 
Harrell, Nashville; Clifton Harrell and Dannie Gehue Harrell, Ray City; two 
grandchildren, Donnie and Tammie Harrell. He was preceded in death by a 
daughter, Joyce Roberts, who died Dec. 4, 1972.
 Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Ray City United 
Methodist Church . Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. The family requests 
memorial contributions to the Ray City United Methodist Church Building Fund 
or the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children. The body will lie in state at 
the residence until services.
