Born January 12, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Lawrence S. and Emma Lee Horton Luke, she was homemaker and retired quality control supervisor with the Fortsman Company. She was member of Alapaha United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Forrest Norton, a son Walter Forest Norton, Jr., a sister, Marjorie Giddens, a brother, George Luke. Survivors include her husband, Frank Harrell of Alapaha; one daughter and son in law, Gayle and Van Tucker of Alapaha; one son, Hayne Norton of Alapaha; one daughter in law, Cheryl Norton of Alapaha; two sister, Altie Harris of Alapaha and Addie Horn of Oglethorpe; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held August 23 at 11 a.m. at Alapaha United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jack Atkinson and Mike Gibbs officiating. Great grandson, Matt Roberts, read the 23rd Psalm. Melinda Roberts sang "If You Could See Me Now" and Wind Beneath My Wings." Gail Powell played the organ. Interment was in Fletcher Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews, James Horn, Lamar Harris, Marlon Harris, W. L. Giddens, Jimmy Anderson, Tommy Smith, Jimmy Middlebrooks. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
