Harrelson Russell H. Harrelson, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at his home following a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Nashville, Mr. Harrelson was born on Oct. 23, 1936, in Berrien County, to the late Vasco and Maxie Spells Harrelson. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean War and in Ben Hoi, Vietnam, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church, the Larry Taylor Sunday School class, a life member of the Berrien County VFW Post 5978 where he served as Post Commander and Post Quartermaster, the American Legion Post 13 and Duncan Lodge No. 234 of Free and Accepted Masons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Raymond Harrelson, Ernest Harrelson and Herman Harrelson and two sisters, Linda Harrelson Gray and Gail Harrelson Griffin, all of Nashville. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jan Goodin Harrelson; two daughters, Debbie Harrelson Wilkerson and Susan Harrelson of Nashville; one son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Kellie Harrelson of Tifton; five grandchildren, Chris Wilkerson, Adam Wilkerson and Drew Harrelson of Nashville; Kaysie Harrelson and Maggie Harrelson of Tifton; one sister, Carol O’Berry of Nashville; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Flossie Harrelson of Nashville; one sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Ray McClellan of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Harrelson will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Westview Cemetery in Nashville with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 7- 9 p.m. this evening, Jan. 26, 2007, at the funeral home.
