He was born March 31, 1952 to Edna Mayhall Harris and the late Monroe C. Harris in Prentiss Co., Miss. He owned and operated a trucking company and was of baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Darlene Adams Adams Harris; one daughter, Teresa (Don) Whitaker of Anderson City; his mother, Edna H Edna Harris; two sisters, Barbara Griner of Ocilla and Pamela Hale of Omega; one br one brother, Billy Harris of Nashville; three grandsons, Thomas Keith Wood, Christ Christian Tyler Wood and Dylan Reid Whitaker; two granddaughters, Ansley Wood and Sh and Shelly Butler; one great grandson, Dawson Butler; and the family is joyous joyously awaiting the birth of his second great grandchild. He was preceded in death death by a brother, James Harris, and a sister, Judy Smith. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 in the chapel of Lo of Lovein Funeral Home, Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating. Songs on CD inclu included "Daddy's Hands" and a bagpipe instrumental of "Amazing Grace." Interment will follow at Fletcher Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Whitaker, Kenny Lee, Keith Wood, Tyler Wood, Steve Wood, Dav David Lairsey. Visitation is Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lovein Funeral Home.
