 John Archie Hughes, 78, of Nashville passed Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at South 
Georgia Medical Center.
 He was born on July 16, 1936, to the late Milton and Maudelle (Cooper) Harris 
in Berrien County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ray City.
 Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Myrtle Louise (Myers) Harris of 
Nashville; son John “Archie” Harris, Jr. of Warwick; daughters and sons-in-laws, 
Pamela and James Taylor of Albany, Darlene and Greg Griner of Nashville; two 
grandsons, Jonathan Brett Taylor (Ashley) and James Trent Taylor; two great-
grandchildren, Addisyn and Emily; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Los Harris 
of Chattanooga, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Janelle and Lenny Emig of Ray 
City; and several nieces and nephews.
 A private graveside service was held on Thursday, March 19 at Riverside 
Cemetery in Berrien County.
