He was born on July 16, 1936, to the late Milton and Maudelle (Cooper) Harris in Berrien County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ray City. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Myrtle Louise (Myers) Harris of Nashville; son John “Archie” Harris, Jr. of Warwick; daughters and sons-in-laws, Pamela and James Taylor of Albany, Darlene and Greg Griner of Nashville; two grandsons, Jonathan Brett Taylor (Ashley) and James Trent Taylor; two great- grandchildren, Addisyn and Emily; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Los Harris of Chattanooga, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Janelle and Lenny Emig of Ray City; and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held on Thursday, March 19 at Riverside Cemetery in Berrien County. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice.
