  Olen Harris, 89, of the West Berrien Community went home to be with his Lord 
on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at his residence.
 Mr. Harris was born July 27, 1925, in Berrien County, the son of Archie Harris 
and Maggie Harris, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 
65 years, Ruby Lee Sumner Harris, who died November 27, 2014; two grandson, 
Randy Harris and Albie Shively; four brothers; and three sisters. He was a 
retired farmer and a member of Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado. He was 
also a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a combat medic in the 
European Theater during World War II.
 Mr. Harris is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Robin Harris 
of West Berrien; two daughters and son-in-law, JoAn B. Miller and Glenda and 
Glenn Snow, all of West Berrien; one brother, J. V. Harris of Jacksonville, FL; 
eight grandchildren and their spouses, Angie Evans, Tracie and Jamie Ivey, 
Janice and Chris Overstreet, Paul Snow, Julie and Billie Jones, Amanda and Greg 
Luke, Sandy and Jessica Harris and Becky Harris,; and 14 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4 at Union Grove Church of 
God in Eldorado with Rev. Todd Garner, Rev. Tommy Dorman and Rev. Joseph L. 
Crumley officiating.
 Interment was in Oakey Grove Church Cemetery in Berrien County with members of 
the Senior Sunday School Class of Union Grove Church of God serving as honorary 
pallbearers.
 Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
