Johnny Hendley, 70, of Nashville died Wednesday Oct. 19, 2005 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1935 in Berrien County to the late Willie and Lottie Roberts Hendley. He was a retired grocer, farmer and Baptist Minister and also retired from the wood shop at Chaparral Boats and was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Vivian Nix Hendley of Nashville; one daughter, Glenda Roland of Douglas; two sons, Johnny Wade Hendley, Nashville, Gregory Bryant Hendley, Adel; three grandchildren; six sisters, Elzie Justiss, Savannah, Eula Evans, Maryville, Ark., Elnita Swain, Tifton, Doris Griner, Jean Faulkner, both of Nashville, Carolyn Barber, Hahira; two brothers, Dempsey Hendley of Marietta and Beuman Hendley of Vidalia. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabe Hendley, who died Aug. 15, 2004. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Connell and Ed Gilliard officiating. The Lott Family provided selected music. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. Active pallbearers were Mason Hendley, Jordan Roland, Buddy Deloach, Charles Benefield, Brian Giddens, Bruce Bailey. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Outlaw, James Griner, James Royals, Clifton Hendley, Milford Anderson, Harold Stewart, Luther Lee, Joseph Jordan, Henry Hersey, J.E.
