 Alvin William "“A.W."” Hendley, 73, of Nashville, passed away Saturday,
Jan. 
14, 2006, at South Georgia Medical Center.
 Born in Berrien County on Oct. 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Alvin and 
Jeanie Eleanor Griner Hendley. He worked as a motor grader operator with the 
Berrien County Road Department for 23 years. 
 He is survived by his wife, Betty Jewel Hamilton Hendley of Nashville; a step-
son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Lisa Baker of Nashville and four 
grandchildren, Joshua Lee Baker, Jerry Willis Baker Jr., Melissa Kay Baker and 
Amy Lynn Baker.
 A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Riverside 
Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Junior Swain and the Rev. A.D. Connell 
officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery and visitation will be 
from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Lovin Funeral Home. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
