 The Rev. Hillman E. Hendley,  77 of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2
2011 in Langdale Hospice House. He was born on Oct. 13, 1933 in Berrien County t
to the late Daniel Webster and Ollie Lee (Greene) Hendley. He last served as t
the Senior Adult Pastor at Perimeter Road Baptist Church where he was a member. H
He also served numerous churches throughout the southeast. Along with his p
parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Eula Mae Foster and Annie Ruth P
Powers, four brothers, Wallace Hendley, Johnny Hendley, Hubert Hendley and H
Howell Hendley.
  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillie P. Hendley, Valdosta; daughter 
and son-in-law, Vannasa P. and William Chesser, Fleming Island, Fla.; son and 
daughter-in-law,  Steve E. and Kimberley H. Hendley, Valdosta; four 
grandchildren, Aaron M. Chesser (Monica), Daniel B. Chesser, Christopher M. 
Hendley and Sarah E. Hendley; great-grandson, William O. Chesser, III; sisters 
and brother-in-law, Betty Lou Hendley, Virginia, Reghina H. and Roy Spray, N
Nashville; brother, Bobby Jack Hendley, Lakeland; a number of nieces and n
nephews.
  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 in the 
Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Webb Hendley 
Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23,
23, 2011 at the Valdosta location of Music Funeral Services.
 Music Funeral Services of Valdosta was in charge of arrangements.
