She was born December 14, 1940, in Berrien County to the late Lillie Exum and Haywood McMillan. She was a homemaker, worked at Singletary 5 points Grocery, and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was the widow of John Rudolph Hendley and was also preceded in death by a sister, Katie Gunter, and brother, Kenneth McMillan. She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Vinson) Harper of Nashville; son, John Russell (Linda) Hendley of Abbeville; brother, E.D. "Mac" McMillan of Nashville; granddaughter, Lanah Hendley of Abbeville. Funeral services were held December 23 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R.T. Castleberry officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
