 Winona Griffin Hendley, 83, of Nashville died January 15, 2014.
 She was born October 16, 1930, in Berrien County to the late Owen Carter and 
Alma Jeanes Griffin. She was a homemaker and was retired from the Bank of 
Alapaha serving as vice president and secretary. She was the widow of Elison 
Hendley who died in 2004 and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was 
preceded in death by three brothers, Horace, Eston, and W.E. Griffin.
 She is survived by a sister, Nina Carter of Waycross; two sisters-in-law, 
Vivian Griffin of Fitzgerald and Carolyn P. Griffin of Nashville; several 
nieces, nephews, and extended family who truly loved her.
 Funeral services were held January 18 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.
 Interment followed at Westview Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
